The Senior Club would like to congratulate Adam Taylor, who recently won the Under 12 Singles Plate in the Carrigaline Open. The Annual Junior Open Tournament was held over the May Bank Holiday weekend at Carrigaline Tennis Club in Co. Cork. As always, the event was well supported and attracted a large entry with competitors travelling from all over Munster and also from Dublin. Each round was the best of 2 sets, with a championship tie-break (first to 10 points, win by 2) at 1-1.

Men’s Night at your local tennis club is every Tuesday night. This fun event is ably managed by Ray Harty. Ray joined the Causeway tennis club three years ago encouraged by his wife, Miriam. What he noticed was how hard it could be to get started and enjoy a regular game. From a chance conversation in the clubhouse with Cashel Corby one wet August day, complaining that whilst ladies had a morning nothing was offered for men - Mens Tuesday night was born.

Teams come from all around the area and the rivalry can be fierce. The competition is for levels from 4 to 7 and teams will be matched accordingly, the emphasis on enjoyment.
