Successful Senior Open Week
 
Our Senior Open Week, kindly sponsored by The Park Hotel, got off to a good start on Sunday 30th May. With close to 125 entries received, players were out on the courts each night from 630pm onwards till late. Many thanks to all who entered from near and far- from Clubs such as Kilworth, Lower Aghada, Ballypatrick, Hillview (Clonmel),(Carrick on Suir) Castleview, Youghal, St Annes in Waterford and to the many members - both exisiting and new from our own club who entered.  With 14 events and 1 invitation,
 Causeway members were represented in 10 of the finals.  Many thanks once again to our sponsor Pierce Flynn from the Park Hotel, Tournament Director Eárnan O Cléirigh, to all the visitors to the Club and last but NOT LEAST, to ALL our club members who contributed their time and energies in the weeks coming up to, and the week of the actual tournament.   The results as follows:
Grades 6/7 combined:
Mens Singles: Runner Up: Declan Whelan Curtin.  Winner: David Commins.
Ladies singles: Runner Up: Mide Duff. Winner: Marian Ryan
Ladies Doubles: Runner up: Robyn Murphy & Caroline Ryan. winners: Siobhan O Mahony & Mide Duff.
Mixed Doubles: Runner up: Charlie Daly & Mide Duff. Winners: Frank Delaney & Bridget Webb
Grade 5:
Mens Singles: Runner Up: Eugene O Mahony. Winner: Lee Murphy

Invitational only -mixed doubles (combined grades 1,2,3) runners up: Brendan O Hara & Sue Mahony. Winners: Marie Claire McCarthy & John Shannon. 
 
Memberships:
Final reminder to members to pay their over due fees ASAP.  Apologies to all members who have recently paid their fees and find that they cannot get access with their FOBS- the Club computer suffered a malfunction and is in the process of being  replaced. We hope to have the situation back to normal by the end of this week.

A list with Names will now be posted up on the board for those interested in playing in a summer ladder - which will run from July till September.  If you are interested in playing singles and would like to have a go, please put your name up on the list.
