Causeway Tennis and Bowls Club

Work continues on the Bowling Green with a schedule as follows:

1. Week commencing 11/04/2011: laying of tarmacadam within green and the construction of banks at the two ends

2. Week commencing 18/04/2011: fencing of area relating to green (2 metres high)

3. Week commencing 25/04/2011: laying of synthetic surface within bowling area and tarmacadam outside the green.

The Hillview inter-firms competition takes place from 4th - 14 April. The closing date for entry is 24th March. Entry costs €60, with four players per team (2 men and 2 women). Those interested in playing contact Declan (086) 3288850 or Phil Darrer (086) 3611270

 The AGM will take place in the clubhouse between 8 and 10pm on Tuesday the 22nd of February. All club members are welcome to attend.

The Causeway Tennis Club will host the Autumn Regional matchplays this weekend, for under 16 boys and girls from the Waterford & South Tipperary region.

The winners will represent the region in the Munster Provincial matchplays at the end of November.

Good luck to Trevor Cleary, Cormac Power & Ciaran O'Neill who represent the Causeway.

Good luck also to Ryan O'Neill & Nathan Power in the under 14 matchplays in St Anne's Waterford and David Montgomery & James Matthews in the under 12s in Tramore.

Mixed doubles ladder will be starting soon.  It will be run exactly as the very successful ladies' singles ladder.  Please sign up at the club noticeboard and let's get things moving.  All grades welcome.

The Club is hosting a summer BBQ on Saturday 21st August from 2030hrs-2230hrs followed by Disco till late.  The tickets which cost €20, includes a glass of wine with your meal and disco.  Tickets limited to the first 100 so please book your places ASAP with any member of the committee.   For further details contact (087) 9954016
